Kevin Campbell was a terrific footballer and his time at Everton made him a legend in the eyes of all staunch Evertonians. His arrival on loan in 1999 from Türkiye was amazing as he scored at a rate of more than a goal a game and his permanent move to Everton that summer was a formality as was his inevitable scoring of a winning goal in a Merseyside derby.

His sporting achievements were there for all to see, but with very few having the privilege to get to know the man behind the legend. A man who always lit up a room just by his presence, a man who had time for everyone and a man who was adored and respected by all.

His ability to exude positivity was amazing and we looked forward with eagerness to his visits to our studio, where his smile was infectious, and we all enjoyed the wellbeing his mere presence delivered. 

We are proud and humbled to be asked by the family to be an ambassador for the ‘Kevin Campbell Foundation’ and will do our best to support the charity in any way we can in memory of a wonderful person.
