Jason Lavelle, Businessman, Lifelong Gunner, and Friend

Kevin Campbell and a good friend smiling and posing for a photo indoors, one wearing a black jacket and the other a light-colored sweater. Background includes a seating area and a person sitting at a table.

I first met Kevin when I was in my teenage years. My younger sister and I had snuck into the player’s lounge in the clock end of Highbury.

He could see a mile off we were not meant to be there! He made sure he got us drinks and looked after us. This sums Kevin up, as he would have this amazing gift of seeing the most vulnerable people and helping them.

In later years we became firm friends, we also remembered standing outside the old North Bank gates, waiting for them to open to run in and watch the last 10-15 minutes of the game!

Kevin was always a big Arsenal supporter.

He would message me whenever my three children’s birthdays came around, to wish them happy birthday. Again this sums up the man, that he would take the time and care to do so. We all miss him terribly, but he has left an amazing legacy behind!

I am honoured to be asked to become an Ambassador for The Kevin Campbell Foundation.
