Frank Sinclair
Former Chelsea and Jamaican Team International Footballer, and Manager
I am honoured that Kevin’s family approached me about becoming involved with The Kevin Campbell Foundation.
The Foundation will be a legacy that follows Kevin, not only as a professional footballer but also as an amazing human being and something for his family, his son’s and his friends to continue for years to come.
I first came to hear the name Kevin Campbell as a young boy growing up in South London playing for Arsenal but living in Brixton. Kevin went to the same school as my brother and everything I heard was everything I wanted to be, so from a young age he was a real-life inspiration that I could make it in the sport.
Throughout my development as a player I came up against Kevin in the youth teams and reserves in elite football matches between Arsenal and Chelsea and I remember he always had words of advice for me. Mine and Kevin’s friendship grew stronger in the early 2000s when I signed for Burnley FC, and Kevin was at Everton, this continued into media and ambassador roles within business and sport.
Kevin meant so much to so many people on and off the field of play and carried legendary status for the clubs he played for and captained. I look forward to supporting the foundation to the best of my capabilities.
Frank Sinclair.
